OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA CONDOMINIUM

We just moved from our home of 17 years. We bought an itsy-bitsy condo in Old Town. We did some serious downsizing. Our house had about 2600 sq. ft., the condo has under 800. However, we really like both the condo and the area it is in. We can walk to almost everything we need. Here are some pictures.

722 S Washington.jpg (355626 bytes) This is the building. We are on the top (third) floor, to the left in the picture.
LR.jpg (379544 bytes) This is the living room looking from the front door (not that there is a back door). Everyone seems to love the sawhorse shelving and TV.
LR_from_loft.jpg (117284 bytes) Here is a shot of the living room from the top of the spiral staircase.
Spiral_Staircase.jpg (242550 bytes) And the spiral staircase itself. It takes up some room, but it is very nice looking.
Loft.jpg (260135 bytes) At the top of the spiral staircase is the loft, with my office, a desk for Cindy to work, and a fold-down futon bed for any children who may VISIT, or any guests.
DR.jpg (319166 bytes) This is the Dining Room. It has a hutch to the right and two corner hutches we use a pantries.
K.jpg (299733 bytes) This is the kitchen. Cindy saved the place by getting a bakers rack (to the right). You cannot see it too well in this picture, but it provides a place for a lot of stuff including a big cutting board that allows us to prepare food more easily.
Bath.jpg (485489 bytes) The bathroom has a vessel sink that turned out to be a great idea, since it provides a lot more storage underneath than the pedestal version. Cindy got two shelves (to the right) that I put up for even more storage and we seem to be in good shape for all our stuff.
BR_1.jpg (274373 bytes) This is the bedroom from the door. Note the storage baskets under the bed. Boy, was that a good idea.
BR_2.jpg (253036 bytes) Since the place only has two closets, we each got a big chiffonnier. They give us all the clothes storage we need.
